Cookie Policy

What we mean by "cookies"

When we refer to "cookies," we also mean other technologies that store small amounts of data on your device, such as localStorage and sessionStorage. These are not transmitted to our servers automatically with every request, unlike traditional HTTP cookies.

Does this site set any HTTP cookies?

No. blocvue.com does not set any HTTP cookies at this time.

LocalStorage items we use

We use browser localStorage — a first-party storage mechanism scoped toblocvue.com — for the following purposes:

NamePurposeTypeExpiry
sb-…-auth-tokenStores the authentication session token for signed-in administrators. Required to keep admin users authenticated on the /admin and /login pages. No other functionality depends on this token.localStorage (first-party)1 year (refresh token lifetime)
blocvue.cookie-consentRecords whether you have accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so the consent banner does not reappear on every visit.localStorage (first-party)Until manually cleared

Third-party cookies and scripts

We do not currently embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media scripts that set cookies. The only external resource loaded is Google Fonts (via a<link> tag), which does not set cookies.

If we add analytics (e.g. Plausible or Google Analytics) in the future, those scripts will be gated behind your consent and will not load unless you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner.

Managing your preferences

You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings:

  • Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Select "Cookies and other site data"
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → "Clear Data…"
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → "Manage Website Data…" → Remove

Clearing localStorage will sign you out of the admin area and reset your cookie-consent choice, so the banner will reappear on your next visit.
